Antique Art Nouveau Choker necklace. 18k yellow gold and pearl. Made in France circa 1895 - 1905.

Measurements: 15 1/4 inches (39cm) long. Weighs 4.1 grams.

Choker necklace intended to sit a little under the nape of the neck. Art Nouveau love of swallows with their curving grace as they swoop down. The front center is a pair of birds with a small pearl drop suspended from their beaks. A pair of beautiful gold chains connect these birds to the next pair, one on either side of them, swooping down towards them. Another pair of chains connects to the next section, which is a gold floral and foliate link that joins to the final section of chain and the loops clasp. Beautiful and timeless.A wonderful necklace for anyone of any age, to wear at any time.

Marks: The back of one of the front birds is marked \'DEPOSE\'. The loop has the French mark for 18k gold (eagle). Gold was also acid tested to ensure metal purity.
