DETAILS:These measure over 4 feet tall. They are old and likely from the Arts & Crafts Era of the early 1900\'s.
Handsomely designed and substantially well made, one weighs 26 pounds 8 ounces; and the other 26 pounds 3.5 ounces. These are very strong and heavy.The base of each is 14 1/2\" wide side to side x 8.5\" deep front to back. Each stands 51 1/2\" tall from the base to the top of the gold gilt tin flourish, which holds your candle. The wax tray is tin as well, and the rest of these impressive candelabras is all iron, hand hammered and decorated. Each wax tray measures 7 1/4\" wide in diameter and they screw on and off for easy cleaning. These flank a fireplace very nicely, as well as add a rustic, Old World feeling to a grand entrance with lit candles.We have found that regular candles in glass containers of any height (short or tall) work the best, because they sit nicely within the cavity of the gold gilt tin flourish, don\'t leave behind a mess of dripped wax to clean up, and since they are contained in glass, there is that extra safety measure surrounding them when lit. This marvelous pair came to us having survived a church lost in a flood in the Adirondack Mountain Region of Upstate New York, U.S.A.
