RARE Antique BRADLEY & HUBBARD B&H Abraham LINCOLN Profile Bust Brass over CAST IRON BOOKENDS, made by B&H in West Meriden Connecticut USA. Likely date to the late teens or early twenties - about 100 years old.
One piece casting - no assembled pieces. Fresh from a Massachusetts estate.
Each features a bas relief profile of 16th President Abraham Lincoln facing to the right on a textured background, with the word LINCOLN cast in raised letters on the edge of the base.
Bradley & Hubbard logo cast directly into each piece.
These are BEEFY Cast Iron that will actually hold up BOOKS -Very heavy - 3 1/2 POUNDS EACH!
5 1/4\" high x 4\" wide x 2 1/2\" deep
Nice all-original brass finish with some wear on edges and Lincoln\'s head. No cracks, chips or breaks. Original black finish (over brass) on backs to protect your books shows some moderate wear.
In as-found condition, fresh from an estate. Not cleaned, waxed, polished or messed with in any way.
