This is a miniature doll from Herman Steiner. Approximately from 1910. She is 5\" and has a bisque head and crude composition body. There are no cracks, chips, or hairlines that I have seen in this cutie. Her painted blue eyes and blush is originally fired on. The wig is old mohair attached to a small mesh cap. She is in very good condition with the original underwear, which I did not remove. Her right leg is loose and if underwear was removed, it could be tightened. Her dress is old flannel and original to her. She has painted white stockings and painted black shoes. (photo). Her marks on the head are: HSt, Germany, 23, 0. The mark was hard to find but is listed in the Encyclopedia of German Dolls (photo). She is clean and has no odors. Great showing. This is a good miniature doll with very few imperfections. Just fits in your collection.
