This fabulous 10-1/4" dinner plate doesn't have any markings except for an impressed mark on the back with the number 2. This doesn't look like Delftware that I have examined in my many years of buying and selling antiques, looks more like a piece of antique English transferware but it does have the ubiquitous Delft windmills so who knows?
The color of blue is more intense than my pictures show (blue is hard to photograph!). This has a flow to the blue color but is not exactly like what I would call true flow blue- it is hard to find a category for this type of dinnerware.
This has an plain M&M sized chip on the back. This doesn't show from the front, barely shows if you look at it from the side of the plate. Shows when you see it from the back. The piece is crazed and has some minor discoloration, familiar on transferware with some age. This is a super gorgeous piece, purchased at the same estate sale where I found the other pieces of transfeware I have listed currently.
