Antiquarian collectible book: A striking and pleasing relic orfragment condition Civil War Era hand colored broadside lithograph print titled“THE BRAVE WIFE” (with verse printed below) showing a husband-soldier in Unionuniform with hat, sash and sword departing from his wife and child (with drum)with the title and print maker’s imprint at the bottom in a refinished to pinewood circa 1860’s frame, as found.Currier and Ives, 152 Nassau Street, New York, (1861). Original Currier and Ives broadsidelithograph print with hand coloration in old frame. Framed 16” tall by 12 1/4” wide. Guaranteed old and original; this isnot a fake or reproduction. Very good relic or fragment undisturbed estate foundcondition, as found, with approx. 1” outer margins on the print in the frame,as found, with the print in rescued relic condition with multiple creases,cracks and tears and with a browned and age toned surface within an 1860’sframe with this being a 20th century amateur – at home done framingeffort, as found. The Civil Warperiod attractive frame has minor scuffs and rubs, old cardboard on therear. We have not removed this oropened the frame. Please see photographs..
