The New Testament title page states 1713 as printed date, while the OT title states 1714. Signed for authenticity on verso of the title page.Due to the extensive restoration works, this is a fine example of what a Keurbijbel would have looked like, fresh off the shelf. Modern blindstamped full leather with copper corners and two clasps. The clasps with some chiseled detailing. Front and rear cover with a repeated large blindstamped design, within blindstamped borders with floral corner details. 7 raised double bands to the, otherwise unadorned, spine.Cover condition: A fine modern binding, inspired on 18th century Bible bindings, including the metal fittings. Two small scuffmarks on the rear cover.
Inside condition: A completely restored copy, both inside and out. A large number of pages have skillfully restored page edges. Some intermittent stains, mostly in the margins and not affecting text of plates. Nevertheless a generally bright copy.. Zolder
