Antique Taffrail Speed Log this was used to measure a ship\'s speed before electrical gauges. A very nicely made piece with a nice patina to the brass. All of the vanes/fins are marked T.W. CHERUB with an anchor. One is markedT.W. CHERUB 440 with an anchor.One is marked T.WALKER & SON LTD BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND.

CONDITION:NO DENTS or REPAIRS. DOES HAVE A PLASTIC INSERT IN THE END THAT IS CHIPPED (SEE PHOTO CLOSE-UP). GENERAL OXIDATION OF BRASS.
