Hello,for sale is this nice and unusual antique Bronze Door Knocker
It does show signs of use and has a lovely dark chocolate patina
The backplate measures around 3 3/4 inches tall
The design shows a depiction of the medieval architectural feature of a fox in full monastic habit preaching to his flock whilst two birds flank either side.The backplate is a simple strong design with raised striker
There is a Rd Number which looks like B68650 dating the design to 1887/88
