This is a Bronze\"Wilcox Crittenden\" Porthole the makers mark \"WC\" and size # 8 are clearly marked. Wilcox Crittenden is one of the most well-known makers of top quality marine hardware from 1847 to present. The porthole window is aprox. 9\" in diaeter, the glass is aprox. 7 3/4\" in diameter, and aprox. 3/8\" thick glass, and seems to have a very slight green tint to it in very good condition.The Porthole is aprox. 11 5/8\" in diameter, with 9 countersunk mounting holes in it. The weather seal is missing. The flange depth is aprox. 1 5/8\" , the total depth of the porthole is aprox. 3 1/4\". It has a single dog ear lock down. The Brass wing nut is missing , the size bolt/nut 7/16x14. I have a brass nut that threads fine on it, although the bolt seems to be short and may have been broken at one point, the brass nut will lock down the window fine. The window opens freely. The porthole has great patina, and in very good condition.The weight is aprox. 10-12 lbs.This porthole would be a fine addition to any nautical collector !
