Found at an estate sale of consisting of fine antiques from the 1800\'s and early 1900\'s, for your consideration we have a beautiful bronze or bronzed sculptural bust of a semi nude Victorian era hooded woman or young lady on a marble base believed to be an original signed H. Levasseur (French Sculptor Henry Louis Levasseur). Standing approximately 15 1/2\" tall on a 6 3/4\" x 4\" base this wonderful french sculpture appears to be in good vintage condition with age appropriate wear such as but may not be limited to, scratches, wear, very minor nicks to the bronze or bronze finish and a few small nicks and chips to the edges of the marble base. The bust is a little loose on the base and will need tightening. There is a piece of felt on the base covering the area where the hardware is located which will need to be removed first.
