This is an unusual andnicepine wood butter mold thatwas recently found in asouthernPennsylvania estate. It measures 6-1/4\" long x 4-1/4\'\' wide x 6-3/4\'\' tall to the top of the push handle.

This buttermold is unique because it is handcrafted with a framed base showing mitered corners. The surface shows heavily oxidized nails and has a worn and heavily used patina and feel. This mold is about one inch larger in all dimensions than this style oftypical factory made molds.

It remains in good condition just showing general wear including color variations in the wood.
