Antique c1850 VICTORIAN Georgian SHELL 9ct GOLD Silver INLAY Pique EarringExceptional Gold Silver Pique long dangle earrings, decorated with engraved and inlaid gold and silver faced piqué designs.
Most all of the gold and silver pique is still in place, which is a rarity with antique pique.
The gold silver pattern is repeated on both side, covering the whole earring.There is a some missing pique at the back tip of one earring, and repair at the top where the bale is secured -
- you have to look through a loop to notice these minor defects -- nothing that detracts from these beauties when worn.
Overall, they are in fine condition commensurate with their age and very light on the ear.
The gold ball and 14ct posts are old replacements, whilst the inlay is 9-10ct.~ Supplied with Gift Box ~ CIRCA: 1800-1850
