This is part of the group that we purchased that had San Francisco and California ties. We will be listing more Civil War images. The opening offer is our reserve. The actual photo is nicer. It is a little darker and has better contrast than seen above.This is an interesting antique CDV, Carte de Visite. A bearded man stands and poses wearing a Union Army officer\'s uniform. He is older than the other Officers and his face looks as if he has seen action. He is holding his kepi. We added a close up of him with his kepi in the event you can see the hat\'s emblem. The CDV is in very good condition with slightly bumped corner tips. It is a lovely and rich sepia and has very good contrast. It is nicer than our photo above, a little darker and with better contrast. The CDV is 3 5/8 by 4 inches. We estimate this to be from about 1863 or so.
