PHOTO:What we have here is a rich and detailed photograph of a saloon/buffet from the turn of the century. This watering hole is owned by one Louis Sbarbaro. It sells fine cigars and Kentucky whiskies. The business has an address, but with no street to put it to, it\'s hard to tell.In front of the entrance, we have a group of men and one kid. From left to right, we can see a number of well-dressed men (probably the owners or management), a male child on a tricycle, a couple of youths, a clerk, and on the far right we have an African-American/black man in working clothes (and a hat, you always got to have a hat). All in all, a cool crowd full of interesting characters. As far as the breweriana and ads go, this photograph is chock full of them. In the window of the establishment we can see a vintage ad/lithograph for Anheuser-Busch (just above the child on the tricycle). Above the window we also have a banner that advertises \"All Bonded Whiskies,\" which is a reference to the Bottle-in-Bond Act of 1897 (meaning that the whiskey they served was the real deal). There are also two signs for C. Seipp Extra Pale beer, a brand that dates to about 1900. The signs can be seen on either side of the entrance of the place.
Lastly, in the background, we can see a sign for a bowling alley, which is neat. All of these details help to date the photo to the early few years of the 20th century. While it\'s entirely possible that it was taken a little bit later than that, my feeling is that this is an earlier photo rather than a later photo-- But I\'ll leave that up to you, dear buyer!Great stuff for a collector, a fan, a horder, a resaler, reseller, historian, or combination there of. This is an original photograph of the era and you won\'t see its like again!CONDITION:
