Antique Cased Gold Dragon Kerosene, Oil Lamp Globe Shade in Chinese RedFor sale is one of the best outstanding original oil or kerosene lamp shades. This is a Chinese red colored cased glass 11 inchRare Double Dragon GWTW Shade. This shade has superb graphics that are etched into the glass and filled with gold leaf. There are 4 dragons, 2 on each side. The shade has a very unique Asian style look to it. This opening (fitting) measures 3-5/8 inches across.There is no major damage to this shade. There are only minor flea bites around the opening rim, though I would say the bottom rim of the shade is in excellent overall condition. Most shades of this age have more small chips and fleabites around the rim. The top opening has a brass or copper ring to protect it, and shows the original patina. This opening measures 3 inches wide. The main body of the shade measures 11 inches in diameter and is also 11 inches tall. Due to age and use, there are some light scratches, some wear on the gold leaf graphics and normal use wear. Overall condition of this beautiful lamp shade is about 9 or maybe a little better, out of 10.There are two main faces of the shade, each of which has two golden enameled dragons. One face is in excellent condition and exhibits very little wear to the golden enamel. The other side has some areas of wear but is still in very good to excellent condition.
