Here is a stamp seal press that is more ornate than most we have seen. The gilt decoration highlights what appears to be a lions head or head and body, its sort of abstract and open to interpretation. There is some wear and rust otherwise good condition. The stamp reads Powers Commercial Fire-Proof Buildings Co. Incorporated 1897 Rochester, not sure if that has anything to do with the well known Powers building in downtown Rochester NY or not. Measures 10 1/2\" tall.
