Up for the sale is a beautiful antique 18th century Chinese finely cast incense burner in the shape of a scholar wearing an inscribed robe with a scroll in his hands.
Very finely detailed piece- just look at the pictures
The figure of the scholar designed as a cover for the burner
This censer was made in the Qing Dynasty, or possibly during the Early Republic Period, late 19th C or early 20th century. The condition is very good for its age, with nice patina, and very fine casting and chasing. It is a large, heavy piece, and the dimensions are 11.75\"(30 cm) long and 10.25\" (26 cm) high.Please see photos.
Weight: 5.15 lbs.
Conditions: 1.5\" crack detected on the right side of the seam line of the scholar figurine, doesn\'t have an impact on the beauty of whole figurine/sculpture.
