Beautiful old antique Chinese carved grade A translucent apple green jadeite jade necklace composed of forty 10 mm beads hand carved and polished. The carved pendant is icy light green grade A jadeite jade and represents fu, Lu, Sho carved on both sides (I\'ve shown each side in the photos). Fu means bat in Chinese and represents blessings. Lu are the money tokens on each side and symbolize prosperity. Sho is the Chinese symbol in the center meaning longevity. The pendant is 2\" in diameter and the necklace chain of jade beads measures 18\". There are nine original heavily gold plated small metal beads and a unique round clasp signed Teng Yue. The necklace and pendant weigh 73.7 grams on my scale. It is very difficult to photograph the colors and I\'ve done the best I can. Make note: colors change from monitor to monitor.

The condition is excellent in every way with no chips, cracks, or repairs of any kind. Both pendant and beads are smooth and polished. The necklace came from a collector of antique and vintage jewelry who started collecting Chinese antiques when living in China in the early 1900s. Jade stands for beauty, grace, and purity befitting the wearer. Overall this is a beautiful Chinese Grade A jade pendant necklace you can wear for a lifetime and pass down to your children! Enjoy!
