Antique Chinese celadon greenware double gourd form porcelain vase. Beautiful patterns on the body of flower and leaf decorations under a crackle glaze. It is signed in brush on the bottom. Unknown age. Colors are exquisite. Some of my pictures show reflections and are not glaze discoloration. There is a repair to the top about 1 1/4” down from the top rim where the neck had been broke off and glued back on. The repair is very good and it is hard to see where the break was. See closeup pictures. No other issues, some small chips on the bottom rim. Measures 13 3/8” tall by 6 1/4” at the widest point. Chinese celadon or greenware used to be the most highly valued type of ceramic at the Chinese Imperial Court and came into existence in the Shang Dynasty. The deliberate crackling effect was first used on celadon works, through the centuries, it has appeared on many other types of ceramics.I try to describe the items as best as I can.
