Antique Chinese Forofferden Stitch Embroidery Apricot Yellow Silk Badge Square

This antique Chinese forofferden stitch embroidery apricot yellow silk badge square dates from the from the late 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. It is made of an apricot yellow color silk fabric background reserved for imperial court clothing, with colorful silk raised padded satin stitch and forofferden stitch Peking knot hand embroidery work. There is a large peony flower in the center with embroidered auspicious symbols and precious objects of wealth and good fortune encircling it. This small square badge style textile is suitable for framing, is unlined and stamped in ink \"Made in China\" on the back corner. The textile measures 10 by 15 inches. It is in good as-is condition, with some slight staining, fade discoloration and fraying along the edging and two tiny frayed holes in the center. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Chinese textile art!
