This is a beautiful Antique Ming Style Fish Plate/Bowl and it dates to the early 1800\'s. It measures 9 1/8\" in diameter, stands 1 1/2\" high andis in good antique condition with wear that is consistent with its age. There is one small rim chip and one tight hairline, about 2\" long that is lightly visible on the inside and outside of the bowl. There are several areas along the rim that are slightly tanned and might indicate a professional repair that was done a long time ago. There are also some faint short spider lines at the top edge that can be seenupon close inspection.

The white glaze has a faint blue tint that is desirable in early Chinese blue and white pieces and the fish is beautifully and freely painted in blue and brown.
