This listing is for an antique Civil War Era 2 Blade blood Letting \'Fleam\' (medical Bleeder Tool).

SPECIFICATIONS:

This is a USED/PRE-OWNED Item -See Below for Condition Report.

Material: Steel, Brass, Base metal.

Signed: one blade is marked G. Gregory

Dimensions: Closed this item is about 3 3/16\" long at the largest points (from the end of the brass handle to the front edge of the steel blades thatstick out beyond the brass- seeimages.

Weight: 37.8 grams

Condition:

The blades are steel and they have scratches/scuffs, dings, nicks, wear and imperfections, as well as rust an irregularities.

The metal has patina, tarnish and discoloration in some areas.

The handle the blades fold into is brass, and there are dings, dimples, nicks, dents, wear and imperfections, as well as patina, tarnish etc. on the brass.

This item has several signs of age/wear and use.

This item might have been used in Veterinary medicine, as a blood letting tool? I am not expert in antique medical items -please see images.
