This is an antique set of dominoes with the highest number tile double nines, a full set of double nines is 55 pieces. All 55 pieces are here.

Many dominoes had been made of bone until the mid 19th Century when the switch was made half bone and half ebony. The two materials were affixed to each other with a brass pin called a spinner that was put in the center of the domino.

These dominoes are from the time of the civil war, Circa 1860s.
