Up for sale is this antique History of the Civil War book by Benson Lawson, with Brady War phographs. The book is not Civil War Era, it was printed in 1912, and by itself is not that special. But this copy is inscribed Lieutenant George P Pote, First Maine Heavy Artillery, 1861. The 1st Maine was part of the Military District of Washington and Army of Potomac.
