Here is your opportunity to buy an original stereo viewer manufactured by the American Novelty Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Patent dates listed are: July 12, 1910, Dec 20 1910, May 20, 1913 and Nov 28, 1922. All the glass used on the three sides appears to be the original patterned glass. This Scultoscope comes with a keyand operates by putting a penny into the coin slot to the right of the eyeshades and thenpulling the trigger. Each trigger-pull slightly rotates the center wheel that flips a new card to the front for viewing. There is roughly thirty Stereocards with each card having what appears to be 2 duplicate pictures arranged horizontally,when you gaze through the eyepiece the picture appears 3-dimensional.
Known as the Whiting\'s Scultoscope this is an older and more sought after round barrelmodel. It is in good condition for it\'sage with minor paint loss, some original cracking of the paint inside the eyeshadeand one slight dent (barely noticeable but mentioned pay via PayPal within three days of sale closing.
