An antique hand carved figure of an elephant, almost certainly made in India during the Raj period, and dating to around c.1890 - 1910.
The elephant has been carved from a single piece of faux ivory or ox bone, and has very nice detailing and a good grain - please see all photos.
Condition : the elephant has lost one of it's inset tusks & the trunk has been repaired, otherwisegood and solid.
The elephant measures approx 1 3/4" / 4.5cm long.
