This beautiful instrument is dusty and missing some strings. I didn\'t want to risk the gold flake or its antique value by cleaning or painting it. It measures 19\"x 13\"x 3\" and has a picture hanger screwed into the back. The strings that are present still sound lovely so the modification didn\'t damage the sound quality. The foot plate is held on with 2 screws. Removing it opens up the entire area where the wire strings attach. These are not modern wrapped strings- they are just wire. It would be simple to replace if you want the instrument functional or just hang it on the wall... The pictures really don\'t do it justice. I\'ll take better pics when my digital camera arrives.
