Issued over a 150 years, this 1864 $10 note in Circulated condition is from the seventh and last issue of Confederate currency.

The note measures approximately 7˝ x 3˝, and features a central vignette of Confederate Field Artillery in action. The portrait on the bottom rightis of R.M.T. Hunter, former Virginia Senator and short-term Confederate Secretary of State. The front of the note is in pink and black ink, and the back is blue. There is a crease tht is visible in the top left corner. and 2 or more vertical creases that the years have smoothed partially away. There aee several miniscule vertical tears on the bottom of the bill. There do not appear to be any pin holes. The back of thebill has some light soiling at the bottom, all defects observable in the photos.

It issigned by hand and numbered 67467 by Confederate officials for the Register and for the Treasurer of the CSA

The Confederate States of America issued a total of seven issues of currency during its existence beginning with the Act of March 9th, 1861 and ending with the Act of February 17th, 1864. The first notes were issued through the Confederacy\'s original capital of Montgomery, Alabama and this 1864bearer noteis the Last Issue Note issued in Richmond, Virginia.
