Antique Country Primitive Staved Wooden Butter Churn, 19th Century Churner:
$168.50
Up for offers we offer this handsome, antique wooden butter churn in very good condition! It\'s made like a barrel with wooden staves and iron banding and comes complete with fitted splash cover and dasher. Dating back to the late 1800s, this churn has a wonderful patina with rich, warm coloring and nice graining. Its surface shows age and wear with all the charms of the passage of more than a century.
This piece was recently discovered in an attic and is well-preserved and still even a bit dusty. There\'s no problems with woodworms, termites, or dry rot. Solid, sound, and rugged, it\'s nice and tight. With the dasher stick, the churn stands 30 1/2 inches overall; without it, it stands 20 3/4 inches high. It has a graduated shape with a 6 1/4\" diameter at the top, widening out to 8 1/4 inches at the bottom.
It\'s a great-looking country antique that displays well just about anywhere. Add a bit of old world charm to your home! This 19th Century wooden butter churn sells to the highest buyer without reserve! Good luck!
