With the frame, it measures 11\" square. This is more than double the size of the more-common 6\" X 6\"! It is fully signed by the artist v inside a D. This artist is documented and I have seen several of his pieces...always top quality. His signature is illustrated in my PF book, but the artist is unidentified. On the front, lower right, the picture is attributed to awell-known Dutch artist of his time.This tile is in the most attractive BLUE/white color andshows a windmill (check out the close-up of the blades of the windmill!) along a waterway with a small herd of cows resting.As in many Dutch landscapes, a feelingof long distance is conveyed. It has a beautiful, scrolled Delft signature on the back with a yeardate ofz = 1904.There is an impressed, factorysignature as well. It is in near-perfect, antiquecondition: it has attractive over-all crazing.The tile itself has no flaws to report; the frame has a few older chips to the wood (original oak, I believe). It could also use a good cleaning. This is a quality piecemade during the top-period of the royal factory; the blue color is amazing!
