This vintage exam chair has been in my position since the 90s. It is much older than that. I couldn\'t find a manufacture\'s name, but I believe it\'s from the late 1800s - early 1900s.
I paid $780 for it with the plan to refinish and give to a OB/GYN Doctor for his reception room. That never happened. Now, the doctor is retired and moved to Florida. So, I put it in storage with the \'gonna do it\' another time. It\'s been in storage since then.
I have marked it way down from what I paid because I think someone could redo this for an interesting conversation piece...or Tattoo salon. The foot stirups and other areas need refinishing... and painting. The chair reclines by turning a side crank by hand. the bar on the back of the chair needs to berepairedbut other than that...most is cosmetic.
Originally, it was bolted to the floor to keep it stable. Since that\'s not practical, I bought a heavyporcelaincovered metal base for $95. The base is vintage, too. So, all-in-all, this is a good deal. It\'s a pick up only. And, it will need some strong folk to move.
