Antique PA EARLY 1800s Decorated HAND WROUGHT IRON HEARTH COOKING LADLE Folk Art --- It is very hard to find early utensils made with this much skill and care and attention to design and details --- Lancaster or Lebanon County Pennsylvania origin --- retains a fantastic aged untouched surface patina!!! It is wonderfully crafted by a blacksmith during the first half of the 19th Century (ca. 1800-1850). The ladle has some wonderful details - stamped circles decorate the front of the upper flattened handle section plus a nicely wrought rat tail hanger to facilitate hanging - the bowl is in simply fantastic condition!!! A beautiful Pennsylvania German example!!! The taster measures approximately 18 3/8\" in length with a 5.5\" diameter bowl.
