Antique Chinese Porcelain Blue & White Hand Painted Bowl Qing Dynasty Kangxi Period Early 18th C
DescriptionHere we have a fantastic example of antique Chinese porcelain, a round footed under-glaze bluebowl dating from the early 18th century. This bowl is from the Qing dynasty, the Kangxi or possibly Yongzheng period.It is hand painted in underglaze blue and white with a central rock with a willow tree and flowers, possibly peonies. There are more flowers painted around the bowl and in the centre. It has a diamond diaper border. The top rim has an iron brown band.It has a fine paste and incredible thick shining glaze characteristic of porcelain produced during this period.The bowl is unmarked and has a distinctive orange tinge to the foot rim.The bowl weighs 440g unpacked. It is approximately 7 inches diameter by 3 1/8 inches high with a footrim diameter of 3 1/2 inches . The bowl is in very good condition for its age and has a small chip on the outside of the topof the rim and a little fritting to the body. There is a little roughness around the unglazed foot rim edge which I think is sand from the kiln.This is a highly collectable and very decorativeitem.PLEASE VIEW MY OTHERITEMS FOR SALE THIS WEEK.Add me to your favourites
