ANTIQUE EARLY 1900\'S BEADED BAG PURSE HANDBAG FILIGREE FRAME BLACK/ROSE VINTAGE:

This is an antique puffy beaded dance purse or bag with a filigree frame and chain handle from the early 1900\'s. It is a great collectors piece. Very nice colors and design. The bag has rose colored beads on the bottom, surrounded by midnight blue reflective beads continuing up the sides to the frame. The body of the bag is a row of black centered rose flowers with green leaves on a black and brown striped background. The beads are mixed types giving the bag a texture to the bead work. The black beads are reflective cubes, the brown beads are round, the pink beads are clear glass cubes with a rose cylinder at the core, the green beads are clear green cubes and the blue beads are peacock blue green navy irridescent cubes. The frame is a metal filigree with a bronze finish made in and marked Czecko-Slovakia. The handle is a sturdy aged brass finish chain. The measurements flat are 7 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide, the chain handle is 16 inches total length. The condition is very good. I can find no loose or missing beads. The original lining shows some soil and has a single small puncture hole, not a tear, maybe from a hat pin, which looks to be an easy repair. The purse has been stored in a chest with some perfume fragrance and I have not had time to air it out. It comes from a smoke free home.Given the age of the bag, I am selling it as a collectors piece, and cannot guarantee durability for use as a handbag.
