Vintage Valentine\'s Day postcardmost likely circa early 1900s.

Details: This card measures approximately5 1/2 inches x 4 3/4 inches,and is retangular. The boy performing is center stage with drop curtains of gold leaf heavy stock paper with ropes and floral designs all around. the \"stage\" lifts up. He is playing a ukulele or madolinin a formal tux and singing : \"Hope I make a hit with you-Be my Valentine\". This is astand-up card as the two lower bottomside flaps fold to the back for display. There is no company or manufacture logo to be found. the back of the card is embossed.

We are fortunate enough to give a little history on this card.It was given to Miss Helen Emrick,who taught school in a one-roomschoolhouseclose to the little town of Moroa Illinois duringthe early part of the 1900s. When the family was cleaning out the house after her death they found these wonderful cards that she so carefully saved. They obviously had meant a great deal to her.

Condition: Gently Used. There are slight aging marks on the back side, but the front looks very good with only twomarksthat appear to be tape residue. The card is signed Peter at the bottom. One upper corner shows slight crease marksand the back shows age but that is to be expected.
