This is a sumptuous example of a mahogany Regency fold-over tea table c.1820.

The exquisite, consistent, rich colour to the top with rosewood edge banding married with turned, tapered legs make for an elegant table that
would grace any lounge, hallway or study; serving equally well as a lamp, games or tea table.

Crafted nearly 200 years ago around the time when the then Prince Regent, George IV was finally being crowned King, this piece is typical of
the period; the table possesses simple, geometric shapes and straight lines that form a sharp, clean-edged silhouette with deep lustre.

The simple elegance belies the solid construction and the extending X-frame doubles the size of the surface by means of simply folding over the
tabletop.
