Antique English Staffordshire Pearlware Prattware Child\'s Motto Plate c1840 :

A nice Staffordshire child\'s plate or nursery plate with embossed flowers and scrolls enameled in a prattware palette of yellow, orange, red, turquoise and green. The center is printed with a black transfer of an angel with a religious or instructional verse.
It measures about 7\" across. It is in good condition with two tiny glaze chips, see my last close up photos. Circa 1820-1840.
