A most unusual and stunning little coin purse, in the shape of a shell with beautiful repousse or embossed decoration.
There is a catch to the top which is slid to one side to open the purse; once opened the interior reveals the original silk lining. The silver is fully hallmarked for London 1882, so a true Victorian example.
Superb condition with a couple of minuscule little bruises commensurate with age, mentioned purely for accuracy.
