A truly exceptional tantalus made from solid English Oak with polished brass fittings.
What makes example as good as they get, is the two exquisite oval cut crystal decanters with intricate detail with elegant slim stoppers sitting in a wonderful shaped and cut collar; the photographs simply cannot do justice to this glass.
The working lock has a key and once unlocked the outer barrel can be pressed down and the top bar moved backwards to allow access to the decanters.
Late Victorian in era, and in excellent condition dating to the late Victorian c.1890. The footprint of the frame measures 11 3/4\" x 5 1/2\" and stands 14\" tall to top of handle. Each decanter measures 4 1/4\" x 2 7/8\" x 11\" tall.
