Excellent working condition; has been running for days.
From and extensive railroad collection estate
Has a reverse painted or transfer ERIE RR winged marking
Back stencil shows 6881H indicates year 1886 andmonth (H) indicates August
These were one key wind opening, one spring basic time only.No chime. Just for school house, depot, retail, meeting hallbasic time display. People knew one would be on a wall andthey had a big dial to see the numbers.

Wood case in good condition. Door glass, black and gold paintin excellent condition. Includes key and pendulum bob.The dial has typical flaking. The ST logo and numeralsremain clearly visible. Main glass covering dial split down middle;will not be shipped with clock. 12 3/4\" flat round can be replacedoff for $9-$12 two small metal tabs hold glass into roundbrass frame.Hinge and brass frame intact, undamaged but is fragile as allof them are. The latchand hinges are in excellent condition. Inside paper label istattered but present and legible.

The date code = 1886 while the ERIE started in 1891; not unreasonable. The emblem could have been from an enthusiastic employee, an enthusiastic enthusiast, or someone who enhanced what they already knew. The ERIE circle in a diamond logo is also from the start of ERIE RR but the wings look more like streamline era. At any rate; priced as an 1886 regulator.
