A pair of antique European, solid18 carat gold backed (tests thereabouts) earrings; beautifully made, AND set throughout with glistening foiled rose-cut diamonds in silver settings. With gold & silver topped backswithlaterclip typefasteners.

Beautiful, visually arrestingand immensely wearable - very collectable too!

CONDITION: Very, very good.Slight signs of wear, afew foil backs discoloured - perfectly normal. A few typical tiny nicks to diamonds through. Fittings old replacements, of no consequence.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1830/40.Illegible French, possibly Italian (?)gold marks to middle connector rings. Later(?)clips stamped with a French eagle\'s head.

DIMENSIONS:Total drop around49 x 14mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx.13.5grams together.
