Our 1860 eyeglasses in their original case may qualify - Marked on the case - \'PATd Jan. 24, 1860\" along with the original owner\'s initals \"LRC\" and the maker\'s mark on the frame - \"mcAllister\". The rectangular lenses and frames are metal along with the case. The metal looks to be silver, but we think it\'s a metal like Nickel or an alloy. It does tarnish (like silver) over time. You\'ll not find another pair this interesting, nor as \"Rare\".
