Antique Folk Art Mountain Man Primitive Hand Carved Tulip Poplar Wood Statue Traveler with Back Pack

A very unusual statue of an antique primitive Mountain Man that has been hand carved. The wood we believe is Tulip Poplar. He is a traveler by all indications by his back pack and a wooden container he is carrying. He is also barefoot.

Dimensions 16 ½ inches tall Base diameter is about four inches.

There is a split in the wood and is so notated here and in the photo that is located by the container he is carrying. This indicates his true age and very typical of these wooden statues. This flaw does not mar its value in the least.

A wonderful old timey primitive !
