Vintage estate sale item. I believe this horn was used by some early fire departments as a wake up alarm. Some research indicates that Federal Electric became Federal Signal in the early 1930\'s, so this horn pre-dates that. It\'s made of heavy metal, and works, although the cord is very worn. I\'ve included a picture of the metal ID plate, but in case it\'s not clear, I believe it says 110 V, type 30-F. The horn alone, without box and packing, weighs 6 1/2 lbs.
Most of my listings are estate sale finds and because I don\'t know the history, I can\'t guarantee they are from a pet or smoke free home. I try my best to review items for any defects, cracks or chips, and make a note of anything I find in my description. I am not an expert, so please look closely at what you are purchasing. Most if not all antique and vintage pieces have normal wear and some irregularities from the manufacturing process, so please keep that in mind when you are purchasing a used item.
