Antique Fischer Budapest Austrian Pitcher Persian Asurelik Islamic Pottery Ewer:

Offered for sale is this antique pottery asurelik or lidded pitcher. There is no maker\'s mark and I think it was made by Fischer of Budapest (or an Austrian maker I don\'t know) for export to the Islamic market. It is entirely hand painted with birds, flowers, raised gold enamel, and gold gilt. The foot is reticulated. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures.

SIZE: It is just over 15 inches (38cm) tall to the top of the lid finial. CONDITION: There are some tiny nibbles on the edge of the lid - the tip of the pen is pointing to these. There is crazing all over. Please see the close up pictures.MARKS: There are some impressed numbers on the bottom, and a gold enamel \"60\" on the lid as shown.
