Purchased at a museum deaccession sale a flapper dress in chiffon over satin lining with beadwork
For the most part in quite good condition save for the neckline and shoulders where the fabric is weak and starting to shred.
The chiffon is black with beaded designs on both back and front. The lining is a heavier lustrous dark brown satin about the weight of grosgrain.
The dress has a side opening with snaps and hooks and eyes on the waistband. The shoulders snap closed.
Condition is basically sound - there are pads in the armpits that have prevented damage to the underarms.
Being sold as an antique - it will not hold up to wear without some restorationDimensions (taken when lying flat) are:
