Here is a lovely antique Arts & Crafts Small tiger oak picture frame. The oak woodlooks tobe quartersawn and the tiger striped accents in the wod are beautiful. The frame looks handmade,measures 6 1/4 x 8 1/4 ins. approx in total size and the back insert rabbet size is 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 ins.Be aware the FRONT VIEW IS OVAL. So only part of your photo or art will show in the front. It has a glass cover and a replacementcardboard backing.The frame is in good as is vintage conditionwithsome wear to the finish/scrapes and on the back some old shellac drip marks.This probably was made for an old photograph originally. Possibly a mementopostcard. I woulddate this frame to the 1900-1910 time period.Perfect for Victorian,Arts & Crafts,Folk Art,Mission,and early 1900s decors.
