This is an antique Fostoria serving platter with handles #2056The platter measures approx. 10\" diameter and 12 1/2\" across from the handles
This is authentic Fostoria whereas the bottom of this platter is ground flat.
This is highly polished, crystal clear and silky to the touch.A little history:
In 1887, L. B. Martin and W. S. Brady founded the Fostoria Glass Company in Fostoria, Ohio. When the area’s natural gas deposits ran out, Fostoria moved to Wheeling, West Virginia, and then to Moundsville, West Virginia, in 1891, where it remained until it closed in 1983.There are signs of age and use to the peices. There are no chips, cracks or nicks, but there are some scratches on the peices. Please view photos carefully for condition. Please contact me if you have any questions.
