Exceptional petit point bouquet of flowers done in wool with a superb border design. Very talented artist who knew how to use color and how to balance the picture for maximum impact. She even knew how best to accent the butterfly by letting the canvas show through (not a flaw!). Although the frame is of recent vintage, it complements the work beautifully. Glass protects the work. On the back is an inscription that likely came from the package that encased the work. It reads: \"For my Grand daughter Elizabeth Flood From her GrandMother Nancy A. Edmundson Kentucky 1865 Nancy Ann Edmundson\". The piece is in excellent condition, without any damage or repairs, and measures, including the frame, 18 3/4\" across by 20\" tall.
